Jennifer Hinkle, owner of Creature Comforts, is a member of Pet Sitters International, a professional organization for pet sitters founded by Patti J. Moran, author of Pet Sitting for Profit, A Complete Manual for Professional Success. As a pet sitter in Mercer (WV) and Tazewell (VA) Counties, Jennifer is part of a fast-growing network of professionals who provide in-home care for cats, dogs and other pets. Through membership in Pet Sitters International, Jennifer Hinkle has direct access to the latest information about all aspects of operating a successful pet sitting service. My husband Hal and I often wondered what to do with our own pets when we went on vacation. Do we hire a neighborhood kid and hope he remembers? Do we ask a friend to interrupt their week to care for our pets? Do we impose on co-workers? The choice was clear: we needed to hire a professional. As a member of PSI, I have access to the latest trends and information on pets. PSI sends helpful information on everything from starting out right with your puppy or kitten, to living through your pets' "seniorhood". Interested in a topic? I may be able to find an article that will help you. As a bonded, insured business owner, I do not take my responsibilities lightly in caring for your pets and your home while you're away. Visits to your home are approximately 30 minutes. I understand that your pets miss you while you're away, so each visit is devoted entirely to them. Of course I'll bring in your mail and paper, set the garbage cans out on trash-pickup day, water your plants or anything else you require. But my main concern is the well-being of my new four-legged friends. Serving the two Bluefields, Falls Mills, Nemours, Bramwell, Pocahontas, Bluewell, Green Valley, Glenwood and other surrounding areas. Rates begin at $18.00 per visit.
